National Dentist’s Day – Team Appreciation

To celebrate International Dentist Day on Sunday 6th March, we would like to appreciate every member of our amazing team, led by our very special Dr Usha Ramjas & Dr Neresh Behari. Each and every one of them contributes something unique and amazing to us as a whole!

The last couple of years has been incredibly tough and challenging for us all worldwide.  The impact on our industry has been significant, some have lost their business, their jobs, some could not take the pressure anymore and even changed their career path, we have had to embrace numerous changes and restrictions, however, from the start of the pandemic our team mission was to shield our patients as far as possible from the behind the scene issues and aim to work together to continue to provide our highest standard of care, create beautiful smiles and a wide range of services to our patients. We could not have done this without our full team committing to this and standing by our side.

There have been so many challenges and changes to face but together we have embraced it all, talked it through, sometimes cried (we are human) but mostly we have uplifted each other daily and laughed our way through and now we are coming out the other side, with so many exciting things and developments to look forward too. This team is literally outstanding and I for one could not be prouder to work by their side.

To our amazing team, colleagues in the industry, laboratory teams, suppliers, agency teams, support staff, and our understanding, supportive, loyal patients who genuinely become friends,  this day is for all of us. We thank you and appreciate each and every one of you for everything. ❤️

Warmest regards,

Barbara ~ Business Manager to a team of absolute stars

Amanda’s Invisalign Journey Update

Amanda’s Invisalign Journey Week 19 Aligner 10 Week 1

Amanda is now well over the halfway point on her Invisalign journey and is still incredibly excited to see and feel the changes that are now becoming visible to achieve her perfect smile.

Wearing her aligners has become an easy part of everyday life now and in fact, it feels odder to not have them in.

It has been so lovely for our patients to speak directly to Amanda who can answer any queries they may have either during their own journey or just enquiring. It is always good to speak to someone who has firsthand experience of treatment.

Amanda is still our resident ‘Super Star Celebrity’ at the practice and we all cannot wait to see her final results and showcase these to you all.

Amanda’s Top Tip: We are now stocking a new product to keep aligners in tip-top condition and stain-free, Amanda highly recommends this product and is happy to answer any queries you may have, it keeps her aligners looking brand new for the whole two weeks she wears them!

Remember we are always here to answer any questions relating to any dental queries you may have so do not hesitate to contact us.

Follow us on Instagram and Facebook where we will share Amanda’s starting and current photo’s, the changes are already quite amazing!

Warmest regards always,

Barbara

Amanda’s Invisalign journey

The exciting journey for Amanda continues and she is now wearing Aligner number 5 and on week 9 of her Invisalign journey.

Amanda is now beginning to really notice the changes and after seeing family at the weekend, they too can see the difference this treatment is beginning to make and it is still early days. So the excitement and anticipation for the final result continue.

Even outside of work Amanda recently had a wonderful afternoon with her ‘bestie’ Jason, (best friend for those of us above a certain age! ) where they spent most of their time comparing their Invisalign journeys’ (Jason is having treatment with us too) and discussing their experience. In between lunch, drinks, and cinema of course.

Amanda still feels that wearing and changing the aligners is still so easy and manageable, even in her front of house reception role,  you honestly become so comfortable with them it becomes second nature.

Amanda’s top tip: You can still enjoy your occasional red wine and tea just take out your aligners before.

We will of course keep you updated and as always do not hesitate to ask us (or Amanda) any questions at all.

Stay safe and I hope you are all looking forward to the festive season as much as we are.

Warmest wishes to you all

Barbara

Amanda’s Invisalign Journey Week 5

We are now at Week 5, Aligner 3 of Amanda’s Invisalign journey and I am very pleased to report so far so good for our lovely receptionist, Amanda.

The wearing of the aligners is so easy, even the change from Aligner 2 to 3 seemed to be far more comfortable and no pain relief was needed on this occasion.

It still makes Amanda laugh that her family and friends still do not notice the aligners and even after visiting both Nans’ recently, Amanda had to physically show them and then proudly explain the treatment to them. They were amazed, to say the least, and cannot wait to see the end results.

Top tip: When removing the aligners there is a little knack to do this, start at the back of the aligner and work your way around. It can at first feel a little nerve-wracking as Amanda did not want to break the aligner but she is managing this perfectly now.

Our lovely patients are still asking Amanda lot’s of questions and discussing their own experience with her and the team so the ‘Buzz’ is real!

Amanda has now become the practice ‘celebrity’ (she literally loves this! ) after so many patients are telling her that they are seeing her updates on our Instagram and Facebook accounts, so please do ‘share’, ‘like’, and ‘follow us’.

Together let’s spread the word for this fantastic treatment and help others on their own journey to improve their smile.

Warmest regards to all of you,

Barbara

Amanda’s Invisalign Journey – Week 3

As some of you may know Amanda, our fabulous receptionist is now on her second Invisalign aligner and on week 3 of her Invisalign journey and we want to keep you updated with her progress.

Amanda, now says the first set of aligners were so comfortable she had forgotten she had been wearing them, they did start to feel loose at the end which is a great feeling as you know they are doing their job. Amanda noted that her new set of aligners did again feel a little tight when first wearing them which she knew was to be expected, but again with a little pain relief on the first day, this was manageable.

Joe, her partner is also very supportive of her journey and keeps reminding Amanda to ensure she has her aligners in. This is driving Amanda crazy as she tells Joe she already has them in! So discreet, Joe does not even notice.

Amanda usually suffers from involuntary clenching of her jaw, which often caused her jaw to ache but has found the aligners have really helped with this too.

Our lovely patients have also been able to ask Amanda lots of questions from her experience with the aligners so far which has been so good for them to hear firsthand what this treatment is actually like.

I can happily say the ‘Invisalign buzz’ continues at Dental Studio.

Amanda’s top tip: Put your new aligner in at night and sleep through the change.

Please, remember, our team is always here to answer any questions you may have regarding any dental treatment, have any concerns, queries or wish to improve your smile. Just give us a call!

With warmest regards to you all

Barbara

Amanda and the Invisalign Buzz!

You may have already had the pleasure of meeting and talking to our lovely receptionist Amanda at our Waterlooville practice, you cannot miss her, she certainly brings added sparkle to our team and patients’ day.

Amanda has recently started her own Invisalign journey with us, provided by our amazing, Dr Usha Ramjas and we thought it would be great to share this with you all so you can hear first-hand how easily Invisalign fits into her life, and it is only the first week.

Even though Amanda has a very good understanding of Invisalign she was still a little apprehensive on embarking on this treatment, wondering if it would be uncomfortable, would it affect her speech and as she is front of house, would patients notice.

Despite Amanda’s apprehension she was also incredibly excited and believe me, we all knew this, team, patients, and visitors. I have called it the Invisalign Buzz! Patients have also been asking Amanda for her first-hand experience which has supported them throughout their own journey which is what we are all about.

As some of you may know the journey may be slightly different for each individual but for Amanda, her treatment will last approx. 32 weeks, such a short time to achieve a new smile.

After getting her first set of clear aligners fitted, they did feel a little odd and Amanda felt her speech was different, which is to be expected but she was amazed after her first day that it felt so normal and comfortable. Her speech also has gone back to normal already! After visiting her sister on her first weekend with her aligners, her sister did not even notice until Amanda had to point them out!

We will keep you all posted on her journey and do not hesitate to contact us should you wish to know more about Invisalign or any other dental treatment, we are always here for you at every step.

Have a great day all!

Warmest regards

Barbara

Important Update – 3rd November 2020

To our dear patients

We would like to reassure you that we will be remaining open during the forthcoming national lockdown for England. The Minister for Health has confirmed that dental practices are essential services and will not be affected by any new restrictions.

Dental practices are one of the safest and highly regulated environments that you can be in, we continue to wear high-level PPE and take the necessary precautions to keep both you and our team safe during every visit to us. Please be assured that the health and safety of you, our valued patients and our dedicated team remains our first priority.

If you currently have an appointment booked with us for November please do attend as normal. Should you have any queries do not hesitate to contact us.

As always please stay safe and well and we hope to see you at the practice very soon.

Warmest regards

Dr Usha Ramjas, Dr Neresh Behari and the Dental Studio Team

Dental Studio Update

To our dearest patients,

First of all, we very much hope this communication finds you all in good health, and we sincerely hope that this terrible virus has not affected your families or friends on a personal level.

As you may now be aware, the Chief Dental Officer has announced that dental practices will now be allowed to begin the phased process of reopening for emergency care from Monday 8th June 2020. (This was the first time the dental profession heard the news too!)

Whilst this is indeed exciting news for all of us, we do recognise that we still need to ensure that the wellbeing of our patients and colleagues is our top priority. As a result Dental Studio will only reopen when we are satisfied that we have all of the necessary processes and personal equipment in place to guarantee your health and safety. Obtaining PPE has been a particular challenge, as you may be aware there is a national shortage and having the correct PPE in place is essential for reopening.

We are working hard on this and anticipate being able to give you more detail on our reopening date in the coming days, but for now we would like to fully reassure you that whenever we do reopen, we will do so putting your – and our – welfare at the forefront of everything we do.

The practices will almost certainly look and feel a bit different when we do reopen and we will be taking very significant additional precautions in the way we conduct appointments. Our staff may need to use additional PPE for some time, and you, our valued patients may be asked to help us during this process. We will provide more details in due course. The aim will be to provide the same personal and excellent service that you have come to expect of our team.

Just a reminder that for now that we are still on the end of the telephone and on e-mail if you would like to discuss anything. Just call the practice number as normal. Please follow us on Facebook and Instagram to keep updated.

With our sincerest best wishes for your continued good health during hopefully this last period of uncertainty.

Usha, Neresh and the Dental Studio team

To our dear patients, colleagues and friends

We wanted to take the opportunity to not only update you but also to thank everyone, patients, staff and colleagues for all the kind words and thoughts we have received since this all began.  Your support has been incredible, and we cannot begin to thank everyone enough, we hope you all continue to stay safe and well and that those of you facing similar business and financial challenges also come through the other side.

It has been over 16 years since we started our business and we have dealt with many tough challenges, but this global crisis is truly unprecedented. We have been astounded at how people have pulled together during this time, and we cannot wait until we open our doors again and can warmly welcome you all back and continue to deliver our services to you.

Seeing our amazing NHS and key workers continue through this crisis has also been inspirational. Some of you reading this message are indeed those amazing people and to you we want to say a huge heartfelt  THANK YOU on behalf of the Dental Studio family you really do make the UK proud.

We want to remind and assure you all that we are still here for you albeit it over the phone should you have any dental emergency or need advice. We are all continually keeping abreast of the latest industry and government COVID 19 advice  relating to dentistry and as soon as we are able to open safely for business, we will. Our management team are discussing and taking into consideration all possibilities for the future and how we will manage going forward to help us prepare for reopening and effective management of our appointment book to accommodate you.

We are not sure if things will ever be the same again, but we do know that we are in this together and will pull through to see better times once more.

In the meantime, we hope you and yours stay safe and well.

With warmest regards

Usha and Neresh
